How does it work?
The Oldhammer Brisbane Day is a chance for people who get their kicks out of ye olde Games Workshop games (think Warhammer Fantasy Battles 3rd edition, or Rogue Trader) to get together, play a game or two, admire classic miniatures and complain about how things were better when they were young. It's not a tournament. It's not even all that structured, really! We'll organise the venue and make sure people know about the event. If you need an opponent, we'll hook you up with one. We'll do our best to make sure you have at least one game of your choice on the day. After that, it's over to you! |
Where's this happening?
The Oldhammer Brisbane Day is hosted by the Blind Pig Games Club, The Finnish Hall, 62 Newnham Road, Mt Gravatt. There's tons of parking in the hall carpark. And when is it? Saturday, 15 September. The club opens at 9.00 and games will start from 9.30am. The club closes at 4.30pm. How much does it cost? The Blind Pig charges $10 entry, payable on the day. There's no charge for non-players, though if you're planning on spending the day the club would appreciate it if you showed your support by buying some food or drink or something from the vendors. What games will there be? There will be three ways to take part. You can book a table with a group of friends, and play any game you like. You can book into any of the board games we'll have. Or you can register your army for WFB 3e and 4e or 40K 2e and we'll do our best to match you with an opponent. There will also be some board games you can pick up and play without booking. How do I register? Registration forms will be available closer to the day. Until then, mark the date in your diary and start painting that army! |
